Welcome to Reception Autumn Term 2019
We have been very busy settling in to our very first half term at school!
As play is such an important part of our learning, we have been exploring lots of different activities, inside and outside of the classroom.
We have enjoyed reading ‘Elmer’ and ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ and have done lots of different activities based around how we are all special and different.
We have also learned all about people who can help us and have enjoyed taking on the role of a vet in our role play area. We are looking forward to a trip to our local Health Centre, along with upcoming visits from a vet, the fire brigade and police. We are so excited to learn all about how they can help us and what to do in an emergency!
We have also been learning a lot of new sounds in our RWI phonics sessions and have been practising counting amounts up to 10.
Reception have been fantastic at settling into school and have been very busy bees!
In the coming weeks we are looking forward to learning all about farming, the autumn and Halloween.
Please come and visit again soon for a winter update!
