Welcome to Class 6
Our Class Teachers are Miss Gilmore and Mrs Channell. Our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Miller.
Homework: Homework will be handed out twice a week and will be due in on Monday and Thursday.
Spelling: Spelling will be handed out every Monday and tested on the following Monday.
Reading at Home: In Year 6, it is especially important that children continue to read regularly at home. Reading supports children’s wellbeing, develops their vocabulary and encourages their imagination to grow. To encourage a love of reading, we have a Class Reading Raffle! Every time children read at home, they earn a raffle ticket. The more they read, the more tickets they can collect, increasing their chance of winning a prize in our Friday Celebration Assembly. Reading at home is monitored daily, and we are encouraging all children to make reading a regular part of their home routine.
PE: We will have double PE every Thursday. Please ensure children come to school in the appropriate PE kit each week.
If you would like more information about the curriculum the school is following please contact the school.
Please read our Year 6 blog below to find out what we have been busy with as a class recently!
