Welcome to Reception! We have been very busy settling in to our very first half term at school!
As play is such an important part of our learning, we have been exploring lots of different activities.
We have particularly enjoyed exploring the outdoors and picking Mr Minikin’s apples from the garden.
We have enjoyed reading ‘The Kindness Elves’, ‘All Are Welcome’ and ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and have done lots of different activities based around ourselves and our families. We have look at our homes and loved building them in school and have done lots of work on our fine motor skills. Most importantly, we have enjoyed making new friends and building relationships within our class.
We have also been learning a lot of new sounds in our RWI phonics sessions and have been practising counting amounts up to 10.
We are also going to be learning about our local area and all things Autumn and are looking forward to going out exploring!
Reception have been fantastic at settling into school and have been very busy bees! We are very proud of their amazing attitudes and how well they have adjusted. Well done Reception!
Please come and visit again soon for a winter update!
