Questionnaire
I have sent home the following questionnaire and would be grateful if you could complete it and return it tomorrow. Thank you.
Update
I am sure all of you are aware of the statement from the Prime Minister regarding schools yesterday evening. We will await further clarity from our Local Authority over the next steps and will communicate further during the day. Teachers have prepared work for each year group on the school website under the 'Parents' tab and will continue to add to those pages over the coming weeks. We have also produced hard copies of additional work which will be sent home today.
Coronavirus update and forthcoming events

Train to Teach
Did you know that Montalbo helps to train teachers? If you are interested in becoming a teacher please read the attachment! Train to Teach Letter for Partnership Schools
Science Fair
I hope that you all enjoyed our recent Science Fair. I thought that our Science Ambassadors did a tremendous job explaining their experiments to children and parents alike. It was so nice to be able to demonstrate the amazing Science that goes on in our school and by showcasing Early Years, Primary, Secondary, University and GSK (employers)in our school. Thank you to Dr Greenwell for organising this.
Online Safety
We try to give children and parents good advice about online safety. As we approach the half term break, here is a reminder about the importance of being aware of the types of apps and games your children are accessing.
MacMillan Coffee Afternoon
I hope that you all enjoyed the MacMillan Coffee Afternoon on Friday. It certainly was a great turnout! I thought that the stalls created by the staff were fantastic and I know that the children learnt new skills as they baked copious amounts of cakes and treats in class. We raised around £500 for MacMillan which is superb – I will let you know the exact figure in Friday’s newsletter. Thank you and well done everyone!
Welcome Back
I hope that you all had a lovely summer break, have recharged your batteries and created some wonderful memories together.
The new academic year has started with great excitement and the children have settled beautifully into routines. They have enjoyed seeing their friends and new teachers, have been working hard and ensuring that they are demonstrating positive learning behaviours.
On September 17th, we invite parents/carers to meet their child’s new teacher after school. The teacher will be available to chat to until 5.30pm and no appointment will be necessary. It will be a chance to ask any questions or to discuss how your child has settled etc. We hope that you will be able to pop in.
Have a Great Summer!
We hope that children, parents/carers, staff and governors enjoy the Summer break. We look forward to seeing the children return on Wednesday 4th September.
