My name is Rachel Tweddle. I’m originally from Wensleydale but have lived and worked in Teesdale for 19 years. I’m a qualified secondary teacher and taught at Staindrop Academy for 12 years until 2013 when I swapped over to Community Work basing myself at the TCR Hub in Barnard Castle. I have been the CEO of TCR Hub for 8 years.
I have experience in formal and informal education and the management of both an organisation and a large property. I enjoy working with the community and value the strength of a rural community in particular. I have an MA in Managing Community Practice and have recently completed my Summer Mountain Leader Award, enabling me to lead people on walks in Mountainous terrain. I love the outdoors and supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing.
I have a daughter who attends Teesdale School and a son who is in Year 2 at Montalbo School.
