My name is Donna Shann. I am originally from Newton Aycliffe, I moved to Barnard Castle after meeting my husband 19 years ago. We have two children at Montalbo Nursery and Primary School aged 8 and 10.
I started as a governor in March 2016. I took up the role of governor as I believe in all children receiving the best possible education they can. Through being a school governor, I feel I can help support the education of my children and all the pupils at Montalbo.
I am currently self-employed making and decorating cake and have been doing this for 5 years. Before taking up this career I was an auxiliary nurse for 16 years, during this time I gained a diploma in counselling and a level 2 teaching assistant.
