I am John Blissett, I am a community governor of the school, I am also a member of the Town Council, I am a member of the DCAG and the Durham schools forum. My role as the Health and Safety governor means that along with the H/T we look at the safety and well being of pupils, staff , parents and visitors on the school site, I also have a special interest role with English.
I am retired but my working life in reverse order gave me experiences and skills that I can use elsewhere and sometimes pass on, retail, Prison Service ( many years as a tutor ) Oil industry with BP, and with the Royal Engineers where I specialised mainly in the mechanical side of Power Stations.
I enjoy the role of governor at Montalbo, where I can see my grandson flourish under the watchful eye of the caring and professional staff of the school.
