I am Chris Minikin and I am proud to be the Head Teacher of Montalbo Nursery and Primary School. I joined the school in 2014 as Deputy Head Teacher and led the school through a successful OFSTED inspection in the Head Teacher’s absence. I have been in this post since 2016 and have seen the school grow rapidly in pupil numbers. In 2018/19, I oversaw a large school extension creating 5 additional classrooms, an extended hall and new offices.
I work closely with the governing body and all staff to ensure that our children are happy, well-mannered and are secondary ready. Our excellent results throughout school are a credit to our team and the curriculum is innovative, exciting, broad and balanced. I am constantly seeking to improve our provision and am passionate about primary education. In 2019, we had another successful OFSTED inspection where many positives were identified.
Outside school, I enjoy spending time with my family, dog walking, gardening, reading and playing sports.
