You may be aware that Rotary organises an annual national Young Musician Competition.
They have arranged a local heat to be held at The Witham on Sunday 23rd November.
In brief: entries are sought from young musicians aged from 8 up to 17 years. Two categories: Solo Vocal and Solo Instrumental. No set pieces – an entrant’s choice of music can be from any genre.
It is an opportunity for participants to experience performing on a public stage and it offers a great chance for future collaboration with fellow musicians.
This year all competitors will receive feedback from our adjudicator –
Charles Knights, a violinist and violin coach, who, amongst his many professional achievements, worked with the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain (NCO) for many years.
There are certificates for all entrants and cash prizes and trophies for winning competitors! Please see attachments for further information.
